WHAT IS IT?

Yiddish Pasekh 95 is a keyboard layout to be used with Keyman.
It lets you type Yiddish by transliteration.  You can type shin
with an sh key sequence or pasekh tsvey yudn with ay.


HOW TO USE IT?

Read yidkeys.txt.

INSTALLATION

1.  Install Microsoft's Hebrew Language Support with the Internet
    Explorer installer.  Open the Windows Update Setup Files folder
    and double-click on ie5setup.exe or ie6setup.exe, whichever you
    have.  Select "Install minimal, or customize your browser" and
    click Next.  Scroll down to Multi-Language Support, check Hebrew
    Language Support and click Next. 

2.  Restart Windows.

3.  Download and install Tavultesoft Keyman.

4.  Double-click on yidish95.kmp after you have installed Keyman.
    A dialog will pop up asking you if you wish to associate kmp
    and kmx files with Keyman.  Click Yes.

5.  Click the Install button in the Install Package dialog and
    click OK at the end of the installation.

6.  Restart Windows.

7.  Open My Computer, Control Panel, Keyboard, and select the Language
    tab.  Click the Add button, select Hebrew and click OK.  Click on
    the Properties button, select the Yiddish Pasekh 95 keyboard
    layout and click OK.  Make sure that the "Enable indicator on
    taskbar" option is checked and click OK to finish the installation.


RIGHT-TO-LEFT IN WINDOWS 95/98/ME

You can type right-to-left with Yiddish Pasekh in bidirectional
applications such as WordPad for Windows 98/ME, DingDang Write 2000,
Internet Explorer & Outlook Express 5.01 or later, Mozilla, Netscape 6
or Opera 6.  You need to update your system with RichEdit 3.0
to type right-to-left in WordPad or DingDang Write 2000:

Restart Windows after installing RichEdit 3.0.


UNINSTALLATION

1.  Open My Computer, Control Panel, Keyboard, and select the Language
    tab.  Select "Hebrew - Yiddish Pasekh 95," click on the Remove
    button and click OK.

2.  Click on the Start button, move the pointer over Programs and
    click on "Uninstall Yiddish Pasekh 95" in the "Yiddish Pasekh 95"
    folder.
